🔨 Creating & Cleansing 🫧
💩 Crap happens, and often it comes whether you’re prepared or not. Most people have wipes or fresh clothes on hand to clean themselves up and move on. I didn’t always have the tools to keep moving. Yet one thing has remained a consistent escape from a relentless reality: Art.
🖼️ I’m grateful that I now have the resources to build my resilience and the support I need to cope with the crap. Art still remains my favorite escape. Nothing compares to the euphoric flow state I find through my work.
🫥 August has sent my partner and I through the wringer. I’m exhausted and heartbroken after months of vet visits, big bills, and increasing care needs for my 13-yr old dog. We said goodbye to Baci on Friday the 28th; burnt out and depressed. We were as prepared as we could be for the end, but it’s never enough.
😴 Fortunately, we are able to take some time off work to grieve and recover. I’ve been pouring myself into my art, and cleaning the house. Creating and cleansing. My scientific spirituality is a bit witchy in that I believe everything has energy. Sometimes it’s positive, sometimes it’s stagnant, but it affects us whether we realize it or not.
👁️ Something that resets my perception is cleansing that energy, either by organizing and cleaning my spaces, or spending time in nature clearing my mind. I’m looking at September as a month of renewal. I’m looking forward to cooler weather, spooky season and my birthday!! I’ll be 37 this month, which doesn’t feel real, but it is 😂
🙏 Thank you all for being here and supporting my work. I am so grateful to share the thing that brings me so much joy with all of you 💖
