With the rise of AI Slop (Artificial “Intelligence” Created images: labeled as art by the person who wrote a sentence into an algorithm), I find it refreshing to see more digital artists flocking to, or back to, traditional art.

Despite what you might’ve heard or seen, art is for everyone. There are a lot of contributing factors, but I think a big reason most people don’t pursue art is because of money. Art school is too expensive, art museums are too expensive, art supplies can be expensive, and having time to create art is its own expense.

I’m practicing neutrality this year. No judgements, only curiosity. My 2026 started with getting COVID for the first time ever.
